I've kept them short and to the point, usually a sentence or two. Austin is big but most of the tech industry folks know one another, so it's actually a small world in this industry here in Austin. So burning bridges might screw you, word gets out quickly and it doesn't matter if you are right or were right in your resignation letter. So as fun as these types of letters are, I would never present one to any employer. In the end, it's just not worth it or the time, once you leave a company, "It's no longer your problem anymore!"
